Garden restoration and ongoing care
At Cindy and Jay Peterson’s beautiful house in A Arnoia, in the Ribeira Sacra, we brought the garden back into shape before starting regular maintenance. We now look after the landscaping and pool, with English- and Spanish-speaking support and video updates after every visit.

Natural stone patio rescue — La Roque-Gageac, Dordogne
A couple called us after being badly let down by a local builder who had done more harm to the property than good. They wanted a patio area dug out and a natural stone patio laid so they could get the house onto the rental market. We flew over and got the job done — Jose and Pete completed the excavation, laid the hardcore and concrete, repaired the wall, and laid and grouted the natural stone tiles. Finished in 6 days in a 40-degree heatwave. Penny and Jessica selected the planting for the bed by the wall and prepared the terracotta planters for the patio.

Full excavation, levelling and laying of a natural stone patio with brick edging — turning an uneven area into a generous, usable outdoor room.
Wisteria pergola and lit walkway
A functional but empty courtyard transformed into a shaded, atmospheric walkway — timber pergola, mature wisteria, lanterns and dense planting on either side.
Courtyard clear-out and canopy pergola
Rotten decking, debris and overgrowth stripped out, followed by new fencing, stone paving and a steel pergola with fabric canopy, lanterns and bunting — turning a dumping ground into a sheltered outdoor room next to the summerhouse.
