Firebreak and vegetation clearance work on a forested finca in Galicia
§ The package

Five deliverables. One fixed price.

We turn a legal obligation into a concrete, easy-to-buy product. You know exactly what you receive, when, and with what documentation.

On-site inspection

A Chartered Environmentalist visits your property, measures the perimeter and assesses fuel load, pyrophytic species and access routes.

Mapped photo report

A georeferenced plan of the perimeter strip, photos of every sector and risk annotations before any work begins.

Prioritised action list

Clearance, selective felling, firebreaks and waste removal — ordered by priority and budget, with a realistic schedule.

Contractor coordination

We manage the clearance and felling crews, supervise execution and verify that the work meets the plan and regulatory requirements.

Seasonal evidence file

Photo and condition documentation after each review, ready to present to the council, insurer or administration if required.

Fixed-price package

Quote confirmed after the initial site survey. No surprises, no hidden extras.

Why this needs a plan, not a one-off cut

Galician woodland punishes neglect.

A single intervention solves nothing if regrowth isn't managed. We design a realistic schedule and execute it for you.

Real wildfire risk

Galicia accounts for a large share of Spain's forest fires. Properties surrounded by eucalyptus, pine or scrub need a maintained perimeter year-round, not just in summer.

Lei 3/2007 requires it

Minimum distances (50 m clear of pyrophytic species, cleared perimeter strips) are the owner's responsibility whether they live on site or not. Non-compliance carries fines.

Fast-regrowing vegetation

Eucalyptus, acacia, mimosa and gorse regrow aggressively after cutting. Without a maintenance schedule the perimeter becomes fuel again in under a year.

Planned and documented

We deliver a plan of the treated strip, before/after photos and the applicable regulation references — ready for the council or your insurer.

What the service covers

A clear scope, no surprises.

  • Mechanical and manual clearance of the 50 m perimeter strip
  • Selective felling of eucalyptus, pine and acacia within the legal distance
  • Firebreak creation and maintenance along boundaries and internal tracks
  • Removal and chipping of cut material (on-site or hauled away)
  • Annual maintenance plan calibrated to the plot's risk profile
  • Technical report with plan, photos and regulatory references
Who we work for

Owners who can't be on the land all year.

  • Foreign owners of rural fincas or houses with adjoining woodland.
  • Second homes in Galicia's rural parishes.
  • Woodland owners sharing a boundary with dwellings.
  • Comunidades de montes and neighbour associations.
§ How it works

From site visit to filed evidence in four steps.

01

Site visit & diagnosis

We walk the property, measure the 50 m strip and catalogue species, risks and access routes.

02

Report & action plan

You receive the mapped plan, photos, prioritised list and a fixed-price quote for the compliance package.

03

Coordinated execution

Clearance, felling and clean-up supervised by Atlantic Land Management with quality and safety controls.

04

Handover & filing

Final report, completion photos and a seasonal evidence file ready for future inspections or audits.

§ Beyond compliance

Many clients start here, then move to an annual care plan.

The compliance package solves the immediate obligation, but Galician woodland regrows. After the first intervention, most of our clients move to a continuous care plan: seasonal reviews, vegetation management and contractor coordination with none of the hassle.

Why move to an annual plan?

  • Eucalyptus and gorse regrow in under a year.
  • Lei 3/2007 requires ongoing maintenance, not a single intervention.
  • An annual plan reduces fine risk and protects your property from wildfire.
  • Atlantic Land Management coordinates everything: no hassle, no surprises.
